Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Clear Cleaner app for iPhone (listed on the App Store as “Clear − Cleanup Photo Cleaner”, formerly “CopyClear – Storage Cleanup”) and the website clearcleaner.app, including its free browser tools. Clear Cleaner is built byCheese Quake and provided by Vitalii Hrabets. If you have questions, write to contact@cheese-quake.com.

Your photos, videos, contacts and calendar

To find duplicates, similar photos and large videos, merge contacts and remove old events, the app asks iOS for access to Photos, Contacts and Calendars. This analysis runs on your iPhone. We do not upload, collect or store your photos, videos, contacts or calendar events on our servers.

Items you move to the Private Folder, and the passcode that protects it, are stored on your device inside the app. Deleting the app removes them. Nothing is deleted from your library without your confirmation in the iOS dialog.

Third-party services in the app

The app uses third-party services that may collect information under their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob shows ads in the free version and may use device identifiers and ad-interaction data. On iOS, personalized ads that rely on tracking are shown only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt.AdMob and privacy.
• Google Analytics for Firebase records anonymous usage events, such as which features are opened.Firebase privacy.
• Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports — device model, iOS version, app state and time of the crash — so we can fix bugs.Firebase privacy.
• RevenueCat checks whether your subscription is active, using App Store purchase data.RevenueCat privacy.

Log data

When the app hits an error, third-party products may collect data on your phone called Log Data. It may include your device’s IP address, device name, operating system version, the app’s configuration, the time and date of use, and other statistics.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. By making in-app purchases you agree that usage and consumption data for purchased content may be shared with Apple to help resolve refund requests, only as necessary and under Apple’s policies.

The website and its free tools

• Your files stay on your device. The photo and video tools on clearcleaner.app process files in your browser. Files are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
• Cookieless analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, which counts visits and events (such as “tool started” or “App Store button clicked”) without cookies and without collecting personal data. File names and contents are never sent.
• No advertising cookies. This website does not set cookies for advertising or tracking.
• Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and for a limited time.

Cookies

The app does not use cookies itself. Third-party code and libraries it uses may use cookies or similar identifiers to collect information and improve their services.

Service providers

We may use third-party companies to provide and analyze the app. They have access to information only to perform these tasks and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Security

We use commercially acceptable means to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Links to other sites

The app and website link to sites we don’t operate, such as the App Store. Please review their privacy policies.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• Change the app’s access to Photos, Contacts and Calendars any time in Settings → Apps → Clear.
• Allow or refuse tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Ask us what information relates to you, or request deletion, at contact@cheese-quake.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
